National Bike to Work Day (lists employer incentives for biking)
National BTWD is being observed on Thu., May 16 across Santa Barbara County!
Join hundreds of commuters pedaling to work across the Santa Barbara region. The following employers are recognized for efforts to reward bike commuters on May 16:
- COUNTY OF SANTA BARBARA (staff): Get ready to cycle to the Bike to Work Breakfast, hosted by the County of Santa Barbara! This event is a token of appreciation for employees who opt for eco-friendly commutes and an invitation for all to walk, bike, or skate to work and join in the excitement! Indulge in a scrumptious breakfast featuring bicycle-shaped pancakes and coffee. Additionally, make the most of complimentary bike tune-ups and a chance to win fantastic raffle prizes!

- OXFORD INSTRUMENTS ASYLUM RESEARCH: Employees of Oxford Asylum Instruments Asylum Research will have the opportunity to participate in Bike to Work Day! All Employees who bike to work will have a chance to win a $25-gift card to the Cafe.

- SANTA BARBARA HOUSING AUTHORITY: The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara will be celebrating National Bike to Work Day for the first time! Staff of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara will be invited to bike to work May 16th to receive educational information about the benefits of biking, riding, walking to work and the impact it has on the community and climate change. This event will take place on at the main office in Santa Barbara that is located on Laguna Street. As incentives for biking to work, staff will be treated to breakfast burritos, water, coffee and there will be raffles for participating staff.
